Seeing Red...Or an Identity Crisis!

Lately when I have heard people describe me or refer to me, I have been identified as one with "red" hair!? A hair dresser did refer to me that he would call my hair light auburn. When I went to up date my drivers licence, I had put down Auburn, usually I put in Brown, the clerk changed it to red, with out even asking me!
When I was a child up to about 10 years old I was blond, my hair started to darken but could still bleach out some in the summer sun. My mom called in golden, or light golden brown. While on my mission they called me blond, even when I had "true" blond companions! Once I was referred to as Chestnut, but I expected that in a predominately dark haired country, besides a day after tracking in the Summer Sun, the sides of my hair turned blond. Most of the time I just say, brown, however the other day, my own husband said, "Wow! Your hair is Red today!" I may see a few highlights, but I really don't consider myself in the "red" family, unless maybe a little in the Auburn family. Funny how our views of self differ from others! Coming from someone with Light Golden Brown Reddish Auburn Hair, is that right???

Wow, that's a lot of color over the years. I know exactly what color my hair is, because the box of Loreal hair color tells me. But I think my true color is totally gray now, but who knows, I haven't seen it for years.

I don't think i have seen you in daylight recent enough to have an opinion! I know everyone says I'm blond now. But I'm like Cynthia, comes from the hairdresser...
