HAPPY NEW YEAR EVERYONE !
This is NOT Swedish Fish. In fact it is hard candy in a lot of wonderful flavors! My father's father was from Madison Indiana where fish candy is a long standing Christmas treat! My father's grandmother would send Dad and his sister the candy for Christmas when they were children. About 16 years ago, I traveled to Madison to "unravel" some family history mysteries and found out about this little loved treat and was able to renew this tradition for my dad and his sister Aunt June! Here is a link that gives the whole story of more than 100 years: http://www.mundtscandies.com/! I keep a large container around to remind me of that fun and special part of my family history. It is really sweet both literally and figuratively! MERRY CHRISTMAS EVERYONE!

r this grouping, but then I explain that these are actually "Angel Kisses"! Anyway, I just love these little lacy and delicate unique gifts from nature! I love their simple and quite Joy and Peace! Yes, I even have books on the magic and miracles of real snowflakes! I was even a member of a "Snowflake Club" we made several different kinds of snowflakes, but alas we've since have all gone our separate ways. So you see, this is why there are so many included in my Christmas decor! I do have to control my impulse to gather all that I see, so I have all this little limits throughout my collection of what I decide to keep! Watch out I may send some your way, they might be contagious to you too!
